Outer Planet Astrology 2025-2027: Pluto Trine Uranus; Pluto Sextile Neptune; Neptune Sextile Uranus
Did you know that between 2025 and 2027, all three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, align at the same degree—something that’s rarely ever seen?
What’s even rarer is that they are all in the process of entering new signs at the same time. What does this mean? A whole new world—good or bad, or both, we don’t know yet.
Time will tell. But let’s dive in.
Outer Planets 2025
It all starts on August 21st, 2025 when Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto converge at 1° in Gemini, Aries, and Aquarius.
This alignment will last for about 26 days, from August 21st to September 15th. During this period, Saturn will also be conjunct Neptune, with both planets forming a sextile to Uranus and Pluto at 1°.
This powerful configuration suggests a time of significant transformation and potential breakthroughs across all aspects of life.
Outer Planets 2026
Moving into 2026, all three outer planets meet again, this time at 4°, for 25 days from July 7th to July 31st.
Jupiter will join the alignment from 4° of Leo, adding to the cosmic dance. This combination could bring about expansive growth and opportunities or major challenges that require careful navigation.
Outer Planets 2027
In 2027, the trio will meet once more at 6°, for a shorter duration of 11 days, from June 7th to June 17th.
Major events during 1978-79
The last time we saw an outer planet alignment in the same degree was from 1978-79, when Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto met for 11 days at 17° and 18° in Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Libra, respectively. In 1979, a similar alignment lasted for 40 days at the 17°, 18°, and 19°. From 1978-79:
U.S. President Jimmy Carter decided to postpone the production of the neutron bomb, a weapon that kills people with radiation but leaves buildings relatively intact.
In Atlantic City, New Jersey, Resorts International, the first legal casino in the eastern United States, opens.
Jonestown incident: In Guyana, Jim Jones leads his Peoples Temple cult in a mass murder-suicide that claims 918 lives in all, 909 of them at Jonestown itself, including over 270 children. Representative Leo J. Ryan is assassinated by members of the Peoples Temple shortly beforehand.
In 1979, the United States officially severed diplomatic ties with the Republic of China (Taiwan). This decision marked a significant shift in U.S. foreign policy, turning to view the People’s Republic of China as the sole legitimate representative of China with the United States and the People’s Republic of China establishing full diplomatic relations.
The U.S. experienced its most serious nuclear power plant accident at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania.
A diplomatic standoff between Iran and the United States of America began in 1979 when 52 American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days in the U.S. Embassy in Tehran.
The Soviet Union covertly launched its invasion of Afghanistan.
We could see similar themes related to these issues during 2025-2027.
The Astrology of 2026 According to Andre Barbault
Ever heard of André Barbault? He was a French astrologer born in Champignelled/Yonne, France, on October 1, 1921, who began studying astrology in the mid-1930s.
Not long after, he discovered Sigmund Freud’s groundbreaking work. Barbault saw Freudian psychology as an excellent tool for astrological interpretation, blending the two disciplines in an innovative and insightful way.
Emerging from the disruptions of World War II, Barbault established himself as a professional astrologer. He became a charter member of the Centre International d’Astrologie, founded in 1946. This organization aimed to bring together astrologers from around the world to share knowledge and advance the field.
Barbault’s psychological approach to astrology has come to define French astrology. However, his interests didn’t stop there. He spent much of his later years delving into mundane astrology, which attempts to correlate astrological facts with historical events. His first significant study in this area was published in 1967 as Les Astres et l’histoire. This work laid the foundation for a system of predicting political events through astrological studies.
Barbault has written over thirty books throughout his career. His contributions to the field of astrology, particularly his integration of psychological principles and his work in mundane astrology, have left a lasting impact.
In 2011, he famously predicted a global pandemic in 2020.
Barbault wrote, in Planetary Cycles: Mundane Astrology:
“The next conjunction of 2026 is centrally placed at the beginning of Aries and is in a triangular quartet of planets with a double sextile to a trine between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. It is the most benefic configuration of the century, and its interplanetary partnership will work for the best in a splendid relaunch of civilization.”
With great change comes significant chaos. But don’t expect the worst. Optimism is the mindset you should foster, recognising that what feels difficult at the moment will lead you to something better in the future. You’ve got this!
Things will settle down once we get into the 2030s.
